Dr. Mia Pappagallo is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Pappagallo received her M.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed an internship in Pediatrics, a residency in General Psychiatry, and a residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident in both Psychiatry programs. Upon completion of her training, she became the a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and was the assistant director of the Bellevue Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic before she moved on to the Bellevue Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit (21 South), where she most recently served as unit chief from 2005 - 2010.
She was active in residency training, and was Coordinator of General Resident Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from 2001 – 2010, and she was honored to receive the 2010 "Teacher of the Year" Award from the NYU Child Study Center Residency Class of 2011.
She continued to be an active supervisor for General Psychiatry residents and for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry residents through 2017 and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center and is active in the training program for the child psychiatry trainees.
Dr. Pappagallo is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
